Hocking Hills
Wonder - An emotion comparable to surprise that people feel when perceiving something very rare or unexpected but not threatening. I watched the clouds just before dawn looking very menacing. As the civil twilight approached, a rapid evolution created thousands of cotton ball clouds as the oblique angle of the sun lit their undersides with reds, oranges, magentas and yellows, each glowing into the reflections from the river below. Quickly peaking in hues and saturation and then, almost immediately, dissipating. I captured this transformation with a refined sense of wonder.
